| Michelin guide entry for 2009 | |
The Walnut Club (Sheffield) is confirmed as Sheffield’s newest and quickest entry into the world famous and most respected food guide, The Michelin guide after only being open 12 months. The Walnut Club (Hathersage) is also confirmed for a 2nd year in a row. Michelin means quality, consistency and demonstrable food technicality and is achieved after a number of incognito inspector visits throughout the year. |

| Three courses for the price of two | |
To celebrate our Michelin entry, we are offering all our members the first chance to book at The Walnut club (Sheffield) on Ecclesall Rd and enjoy 3 courses for the price of 2 from our new 3 course set menu for just £15. This is the first food offer we have ever done in four years but we really want customers to come and try our brand new menu. (Available from noon -11:30pm every day except Saturdays after 6pm, also excludes Valentines and Mothers Day) must order a main course and provide this cut out to claim. Offer finishes 31st of March 2009, management can retract this offer at any point. |

| Launch of our brand new £19.95 3 course set menu |
This week is the launch of our first Michelin rated Sheffield menu, 3 courses for just £19.95 (available every day noon to till 11:30pm). We are using quality local, organic or wild produce where possible, cooked freshly to order. We are showcasing our food skills to the max and not sacrificing quality, just wholesome, substantial food at a realistic price. We will also be offering full a la carte menu and if prefer you can substitute any of the dishes and just pay the difference.

| Cocktails from £3.50 |
A new cocktail promotion at our Sheffield venue! We set the precedent with Sheffield‘s largest and prestigious rectangular cocktail bar - ideal for a sophisticated drink and to peruse one of the hottest cocktail lists in town.
We also have bottles of Champagne from £32 and house wine from £13.95. Live DJ’s playing soul, motown, funk and old sckool house from 7.30 pm on Fridays & Saturdays.
All are welcome, you do not need to be a member or book in advance (although diners are advised to book at weekends). |

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce (DNCC) Business Awards Derbyshire 2009. The finalists and winners will be announced following a gala black-tie dinner hosted by Brian Blessed.

| Company Re-structure |
The company will be separated to create The Walnut Club (Hathersage) and The Walnut Club (Sheffield) dropping the Champagne bar & grill title. This also allows us to focus on the restaurant side with our recent Michelin rating rather than the champagne bar tag.
The new companies will be lead by new MD, Mr Les Weatherill who has over 40 years of retail experience to help guide the new company for 2009 and onward.
Our main strategy will be to take advantage of having two sites in close proximity in Sheffield and Derbyshire and for Hathersage to open Friday to Sunday until March 2009- noon to 11:30pm, and directing midweek diners to Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. (We will open at Hathersage midweek for larger party bookings of more than 25)
