New Head Chef & Restaurant Manager

We have found two of the best professionals in the UK to lead The Champagne Bar & Grill. Dan Mcnairney was Head Chef at the Prospect Restaurant in Bakewell, earning two rosettes and Gavin Saunders, previously the Restaurant Manager of Richard Branson’s Roof Gardens in Kensington, London, for seven years. Both bring a unique style of can do attitude, great flare and understanding of the customer which will make them an instant success in our growing company!

Theme- Best Classic Venue of the North 2008

Theme magazine, the UK’s restaurant & bars most prestigious magazine and awards has awarded The Walnut Club as ‘Best Classic Venue of the North’ in front of 800 of the industries finest in June. The awards involved extensive canvassing of opinion from key regional contacts as well as mystery visiting. The venue must demonstrate enduring high standards in all of its operation.

Boyzone and Ronan Keating dined with us at The Walnut club at Crystal... they all had Fillet of beef and tipped very well, the staff were amazed it was them, and the band was accompanied by Lee Westwood, Worksop’s very own golfer after his success at the US open.

We also had the dancing on ice stars dine with us at Crystal, they were all very nice and Gareth Gates was especially complementary about the food and staff, enough for one of our staff to say ‘I’m buying his next album he is that nice’

Legend Jimmy White and other snooker stars dined and enjoyed our cocktails in the champagne bar over the snooker world finals and he was very impressed with Sheffield hospitality, even hugging the receptionist on his way out saying he had a great time.

Miss Sheffield - Jaime Lee Faulkner

After holding the prestigious Miss England regional finals at the Walnut Club Champagne Bar & Grill last month, our very own winner Jaime-Lee goes onto represent our region at the grand final in London on the 18th of July. The Walnut Club wish her good luck! Miss England raised over Ł27,000 for the Institute Of Cancer Research and The Walk with Cancer Appeal at last years final.

Floral Themed Fashion Show

Join us for an exquisite floral themed fashion show, 30th July at 7pm. Surrounded by floral displays, artwork and photography to raise money for impact. Supporting Children with Leukaemia.

Designer Elizabeth Edwards is a graduate from St Martins, she has worked with names such as Betty Jackson, Jean Muir and Mulberry and dressed celebrities such as Joanna Lumley & Jennifer Saunders to name a few. Her designs have been sold in high street stores such as Zara and H&M. She has worked with Twiggy to develop ‘eco-friendly’ ranges. Her new collection will be launched on the evening.

Tickets on door Ł5, all proceeds got to charity at The Walnut club Champagne Bar & Grill, Sheffield.
