At last a firm date of 1st of December for members to book at the eagerly awaited new venue (The 1st floor venue is above the Plumb centre and next door to the Porter Brook public house, with over 5000sq-ft and capacity for 220 persons). Aimed at likeminded over 25's for like minded people wanting quality, class and sophistication. This venue is for advance bookings for food, drink and members only so we ensure our customers are well catered for and enjoy an unrivalled experience.
Existing newsletter members will be sent an invitation to join the new Ecclesall road members list and also invited to special VIP preview evenings soon. |

Our new website will go live in the next few days, showcasing our new and exciting new venue. The concept is that our website reflects our sophisticated members and venues whilst keeping it simple, clear and concise. Again you will be able to see our food and drink menus for both venues, be able to make online bookings and view upcoming new events such as our new monthly event for professional singles. |

| Cutlery from CARRS of Sheffield |
The Walnut Club goes all out in search of quality and purchased the restaurants cutlery from one of the oldest manufactures of Cutlery in Sheffield, CARRS of Sheffield have been established for over 300yrs.
This is a wonderful purchase for The Walnut Club supporting Sheffield heritage and environmentally saving on our carbon footprint by using a Sheffield manufacture. |

| Veuve Clicquot Love Seat | |
As veuve Clicquot will be the house champagne of the Walnut club champagne bar & grill, Veuve brand managers from Moet Hennessey have arranged for a love seat to be placed in our restaurant for display and use. It was designed by Karim Rashid and is his fresh take on an 18th century arm chair, two huge flower petals join together on a chrome pedestal topped with a 'pistil' shaped like an ice bucket. |

| The top 20 restaurants in the UK for Christmas Lunch! |
BBC Olive the most renowned and respected food publication magazine has rated the Walnut Club as one of the top 20 restaurants in the UK for a Christmas meal. We are in great company being quoted along with Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux saisons in Oxford.
Xmas menu is £19.95 lunch/£29.50 evening -3 courses.

| The Walnut Club Outside Catering Recent Events |
In the last month we have helped provide outside catering and event management for:
JRI Manufacturing launched their new purpose built building in Chapletown, Sheffield with a guest list of around 200 people including our friends the Lord mayor & Lady mayoress and was officially opened by Darren Gough the Yorkshire batsman. We provided our deluxe canapé package and champagne reception.
Favell Smith & Lawson Solicitors, had their 1st year anniversary of their Hathersage office where they welcomed over 70 of their clients with our canapé selection.
Peak District Tourism ordered our sandwich platters for three large presentation lunches and staged an AA quality event at the Walnut Club in Hathersage.
The National Trust ordered a bespoke buffet for outside events across the Peak district.

| Live jazz music dates for Dec for Hathersage |
In December we will be playing live jazz on stage every Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat evenings and a pianist to accompany traditional organic Sunday lunch £9.95.
Why not treat yourself to Christmas day lunch rather than cooking accompanied with pianist J.Black and our very special black tie NYE event also is very popular.
The 19th of DEC we have the Hathersage singers, singing new and old Christmas carols outside The Walnut Club from 6pm to 7:30, tickets £5 of all proceeds go to charity and we provide mince pie and mulled wine.

| The Wilbourn Associates Environmental Award |
The Walnut Club has been shortlised and nominated for The Wilbourn Associates Environmental Award at the Ponds forge on the 6th of Dec in front of over 1000 Sheffield businesses.
We were nominated because we are one of the countries first completely organic restaurants. We source local produce where possible to save on our carbon footprint and recycle all our cardboard, bottles and oil at the restaurant.
We are in great company as the other two nominees are both great Sheffield companies equally doing as much for our environment - Bag It Don't Bin It, & Printing.com Sheffield |
