Dizzy Club - Friday 4th of August
Dizzy Club - Friday 4th of August
Probably the best live jazz band in the region, if not the country, The Dizzy Club are now making their Friday evening debut at The Walnut club.

The Dizzy Club have historically taken centre stage on a Saturday evening, however to give our Friday regulars a taste of this fantastic band they’re delighted to be playing on Friday 4th August.

Dizzy club are also playing live on the 11th of August.

We still play live jazz every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday evenings and a pianist to accompany Sunday lunches.
Entering the Michelin Guide 2008
Entering the Michelin Guide 2008
Hot off the press!!! It was confirmed last week, after two years we will be making it into the much coveted Michelin guide for 2008. We are delighted to realise one of our aspirations from day one and to make it into the guide to help get the region recognised for the restaurant scene.

In 2007 only 1,787 restaurants made it into the Michelin guide for Great Britain and Ireland. We realise that we are only as good as our last meal, and a visit to the Walnut Club is more than just food, our service and overall experience of live Jazz really kicks back against the typical traditions of Michelin rated establishments with white table cloths and small seating numbers.
Environmental awards
Environmental awards
The Walnut Club are proud to sponsor South Yorkshire's Environmental awards for recycling at the Magna Centre on the 17th of October.

We have been completely organic from day one and are proud to be one of the first organic restaurants in the UK two years ago. We really want to help bring awareness to the issues surrounding our carbon footprint and the rate we are using our planet's resources.

We would love any of our concerning customers to be nominated for any of the environmental awards on offer for this year... Please visit the Sheffield Telegraph website to see all eight categories and enter.

New Restaurant Manager - Craig Macfarlane
New Restaurant Manager - Craig Macfarlane
In case you didn't know, The Walnut Club have found ourselves a new manager in the form of 29 year old Craig Macfarlane.

Craig has worked for two of the UK's best restaurants and chef's in Leeds at No.3 York Place and Manchester at The Mulberry Tree for Mark Prescott. It's great to attract young talented individuals such as Craig, his laid back, friendly but professional approach is exactly what we want at The Walnut club - we don’t do pretentious! ;-)
