In March The Walnut Club were award finalists at the prestigious Derbyshire & Notts Chamber of Commerce awards hosted by the legend Brian Blessed.
We believe that an active and more sustainable way of contributing to our community is through education and direct involvement in our future generations in the form of mentoring students at schools and universities. Any business can get involved and we really find it rewarding and always fun, in the last 6 months we have worked with;
Buxton University; Event and Hospitality Management - helping with e-commerce projects.
Sheffield University; Event and Hospitality Management - entrepreneurial speech to the students.
Sheffield University; commitment to take a number of MBA students for final dissertation.
2009 Entrepreneur Summit; “Dragon’s Den” style with several universities from around the country.
Fir Vale School; a talk about the restaurant business to very keen and interested students.

Utilising our large circular cocktail bar and some of the region’s best cocktail tenders at our new Ecclesall Road Sheffield venue, we are now offering companies and private parties the opportunity to prepare and learn how to make two classic cocktails, it’s great fun in teams and against the clock- something a bit different for team bonding, private parties or just to learn how to make cocktails. £19.95 per person.

| April Live music dates for Hathersage |
We really are very proud to host and be one of the longest serving venues to support the very best of local musicians every Friday and Saturday on stage, the music compliments the food and is a great evening to sit back, relax and enjoy the table for the whole evening.
Favourite’s Dizzy Club are confirmed for 4th April, 23rd May, 6th June and 13th June.

We have held a number of superb children’s parties lately and have now formalised a special children’s canapé menu from as little as £5.95 per child, not to mention new non-alcoholic cocktails for the slightly older teen. We are now holding regular parties for over 20 people during the week where guests stand and network on the dance floor and VIP area, to cater for this need we have designed a special set canapé menu from just £5.95 per person, ideal for work gatherings, events and birthday parties, available every day of the week from noon. Add a champagne reception from just £5 per person.

We have designed and published a new 3 course party menu for 20 to 150 people where the organiser can select dishes and allow their guests the option to order from 3 courses on the evening. This negates the need to assemble pre-orders, which can be very time consuming and hard work for the organiser. The set menu options start from £25 per person. (Menu not available Friday or Saturday evenings, special rates apply).
